Cameron Jeong is a Mexican-Chinese American creative & entrepreneur. Growing up in Nogales, Arizona, Cameron was inspired by the similarities and differences in music she experienced being bicultural and bilingual. She began with piano and vocal lessons at a young age leading her to become the main vocalist for the Ellington Band in the Tucson Jazz Institute.
Listeners attribute Cameron’s sound to the likes of Sade, Kali Uchis, or Amy Winehouse. After graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in Music, she continues her education and research by studying how to incorporate healing frequencies and vibrations to her music. Her upcoming project Metamorphisis, marks a shift in Jeong’s sonic profile. Pulling from her use of different meditative instruments to incorporate healing frequencies into modern music.
Being a Hispanic Asian-American woman, she channels inspiration from the dedication and drive from her immigrant roots to pursue her passions of creating a space where healing genre-fluid music can live and thrive, whilst also creating a community of artists and listeners who feel they are unfit for a single labeled box.
