Growing up on a small town bordering Mexico, I was inspired by the similarities and differences in music I experienced being bicultural and bilingual. Although my journey began as a dancer, learning various rhythms and styles to over ten different genres sparked the musicianship in my soul. I began with piano lessons at a young age then vocal lessons leading me to become the main vocalist for the Ellington Band in the Tucson Jazz Institute. As I continue my musical education at Arizona State University, studying songwriting and production to learn how to combine music with healing frequencies and vibrations in my original music. Being a Hispanic Asian-American woman, I am going against the current of musical marketing norms and drawing from my roots to create a space where genre-fluid music can live and thrive whilst also creating a community of artist and listeners who feel like they fit into more than a single labeled box.
I've been dancing since the age of 3 and have explored the genres of Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary and cultural dances such as Dancehall, Hawaiian, Flamenco, Tahitian, Belly dance and Folkloric
About 3 years ago I began to dive into Ableton and fell in love! I love to create in this space and expand my ideas and loops to new lengths. Recently I've been working on the Ableton Push 2 and this has ignited my creativity further in sound design and writing as well as collaborating with many incredible producers
My happy place is out in nature, being able to ground myself, hugging trees, walking through grass, hearing birds chirp etc... that connection is the best type of therapy for me besides music and movement of course
